Across Nature AS is a prolongation of the initiative taken by the founders to establish the Nicaforest High Impact Reforestation Program in Nicaragua in 2010. The sister company, Across Forest AS was established at the same time to organize ownership and management of the program together with the team in Nicaragua. As an experienced project developer, we understand the challenges in establishing and managing carbon capture projects with strong environmental and social co-benefits as well as all hurdles in the certification processes.
Across Nature AS is engaging in various fields of solutions as a project developer and as a seller of certified carbon credits to the voluntary carbon market.

Graduated in agriculture and natural resource management from EARTH University in Costa Rica and holds an MBA from Formato Educativo Business School/Cadiz University, Spain. He has managed the operational activities of the project since the start in 2010. He has experience from several agroforestry projects in Nicaragua and has developed land selection models for forestry plantations, especially based on teak and cocoa, using modern technology and applying scientific criteria. Furthermore, he has considerable experience assessing farms and implementing the principles of FSC and Gold Standard in the management of the company.

Espen holds a Masters Degree in Development Geography from University of Bergen, Norway and a Dual B.a in Geography and International studies from University of Denver, USA. Espen has worked with the planning and management of development and humanitarian aid projects in Central America, Africa, and Europe. He has been working in Nicaragua since 2007, has worked with Nicaraguan education since 2009 and began a reforestation project there in 2010. From Norway he has worked as a coordinator and leader in projects related to disabilities, education, and community initiatives in both Uganda and Romania.

He has worked in the Nicaforest group since 2015. Experience as Forest Crew Chief, management of field personnel, silvicultural management activities of forest plantations. He must also guarantee compliance with occupational safety regulations on the Farms and compliance with the FSC principles. He supports forest monitoring activities, measurements of Permanent Forest Monitoring Plots.

Viviana Fonseca, has joined the Nicaforest team since February 2024. She holds a university degree in Accounting and Finance from UNIVAL Juigalpa, Chontales. The last 2 years She worked as Account assistant at the Municipality of Santo Tomás, and as consultant to other local companies. She worked for one year as commercial sales of Café Soluble, a brand coffee company in Nicaragua. She was a post-intern at Nicaforest's Administration and Accounting unit in 2017. She currently works as an Accounting and Acquisition Processes Responsible and she is in charge of payroll payment processes, control payment to human resources and services, purchase management, relationship with suppliers of inputs and services.
